Brian became involved in the media advertising genre when he was asked to co-produce the original “Think Ford 1st” campaign, in which he also made a cameo appearance. A year later he accepted a position as media director for the State Of Michigan in the mentoring initiative “America’s Promise” headed by Colin Powell, where he developed and produced the commercials for the United Way/America’s Promise “Little Red Wagon” campaign through Comcast Cable.
In 1999 Brian landed a position as a media consultant at WDIV TV-4 where his media expertise blossomed. It was during this time at WDIV that he realized the unique emotional connection between creative writing, video production and great music branding through media advertising. Brian decided to try his media design concepts out on one of his accounts, Hanson’s Windows and Siding by creating the dancing Hanson’s Window commercials. The campaign was met with unusual success, and took Hanson’s Windows and Siding’s bottom line from nine million to thirty million in less then a year and a half.
Alexander + Associates Productions, which Brian formed in 2000, is one of the leading Communications/Marketing campaign design companies in Michigan. Brian was selected as one of the lead media sources for The Honorable Jennifer Granholm’s 2002 Gubernatorial campaign, composing the campaign theme song and radio ads, “She Knows What Counts and She Gets Things Done”. In addition Brian was one of the celebrity judges for the hit WDIV-TV music competition “Gimme The Mic Detroit”. In 2005 Brian partnered Alexander Productions and formed “Alexander + Associates Productions. Alexander + Associates Productions clients include; National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Republic of The Gambia (West Africa), The Frank Beckman Show, San Jose BMW Motorcycles, WDIV (NBC affiliate) CBS Fox 2 & Avis Ford. In addition in 2006 Brian was tapped to write the theme song for the National League Pennant Champions, the Detroit Tigers, the song is titled “It’s Detroit Tiger Time, Who’s Your Tiger”.
Brian is married and has five children, four girls and one boy.
